Our aim is to help individuals and communities become self-sufficient. See the people and places behind the work.

Our approach

Lasting change begins with practical, sustainable solutions.

Our goal is not simply to provide temporary assistance. We work to equip individuals and communities with the resources and opportunities they need to become self-sufficient.

Education

Giving children the knowledge and opportunities needed to build a brighter future.

Clean water

Supporting healthier individuals, families, and communities.

Agricultural development

Strengthening food security and helping communities provide for themselves.

Small-business support

Other long-term efforts may include micro-financing small businesses to get started, helping people create income and greater financial independence.

Immediate relief

Emergencies require an immediate response. That is why we reserve 10% of our funds for people facing urgent needs.

Our story

It started with two tuk-tuks of groceries.

Feed Starving People Inc. began in Cambodia in July 2012, when our founder and a local friend delivered two tuk-tuks of food and essential supplies to families living in severe poverty outside Siem Reap.

The experience led to a visit to a local orphanage and an encounter with a bright young student who lacked access to quality education. One school enrollment soon became three, and the Giving Orphans Education Project was born.

More than a decade later, we remain personally involved in our students’ progress: meeting with them, reviewing their report cards, speaking with educators, and helping them overcome the challenges poverty can place in the way of academic success.
